Back to a world of bureaucracy, facism, late nights and the pointless upholding of school values that I don't believe in any more. Once more, into the breach...

not trying to be overly nosy, but could you go into some further detail on this:
pointless upholding of school values that I don't believe in any more
If it's a long story that you don't feel like explaining, just tell me to shut up. I just find how people's revelations lead to changes in beliefs interesting.
P.S. - good luck in the coming academic year!

Man, if I could go back to college and zero responsibilities other than improving myself to get a better career for JUST A WEEK it would be so nice

My school runs on a house system (envision Hogwarts, but without the magic) and there used to be seven and all was good. House spirit was always encouraged and even though our house was generally the most rubbish, I still went to every interhouse event, even the ones that were not for my grade. Then comes the new principal and decides OK, the school needs change so he can show the board of directors that he's actually useful.
So he restructures the entire system by getting rid of one house, and sending people scattering to other houses. All the new houses then proceeded to be named "house" in six different languages. His administration changes then result in the uneven distribution of duties amongst staff, leading to one of my teachers teaching several more hours per week than another teacher on exactly the same pay. In fact, she was so pissed off by this new system that she quit.
They then tell us that the school is adamant in catering to the student's best interests, while at the same time disallowing the choosing of, among others, the subjects of Geography and History, despite those being my main interests. Then there's the extensive expense on new school facilities when older stuff could be improved - I could go on.
And through all this, they still expect me to maintain house spirit. I'm sorry, but that was destroyed four years ago when one of the houses was torn apart.
